He gives an impressive overview of how the economy works, how crashes occur (predicting the 2008 crash before it came) talking about the twin problems of environmental degradation and peak "everything" (it's not just oil - hold on for the ride) and how these problems and massive government debt will impact our economy. We still encourage you to watch this if you have not.
Chris is famous for saying: "The one thing we can know for sure is the next twenty years will look nothing like the past 20 years" and urging us to think about that when we plan.
Chris currently has an urgent alert on his website. He says he is more concerned than he has been since Oct of 2008 as he watched the crash coming. He says he is currently alarmed because he sees that in a matter of weeks Japan is going from the 3rd largest economy in the world to becoming an importing nation. He feels that this change coupled with their ability to produce items we are accumstomed to importing from them (like cars) will heavily impact the globally linked economy.
